Collaborations & Synergies
Cross-Re-Tour grows stronger when we build alongside others. We actively connect with EU projects, networks, and initiatives that are working on circular economy, low-impact tourism, skills development, and digital innovation. By exchanging methods, tools, and lessons learned, and by linking our communities, we help good solutions travel faster between regions, sectors, and SMEs.
Below you’ll find a selection of collaborations and synergy partners connected to Cross-Re-Tour. If you’d like to explore a joint activity, get in touch with us here

VERNE
VERNE works to advance accessible and circular tourism, supporting destinations and stakeholders in designing tourism systems that reduce resource use, increase inclusion, and improve local value creation. Its work is grounded in piloting practical solutions and translating them into scalable approaches.
Together, VERNE and Cross-Re-Tour connect innovation “supply” and “demand”: we focus on supporting SMEs to adopt and scale circular/green/digital innovations, while VERNE contributes destination-level practices, accessibility perspectives, and hands-on learning from pilots. This exchange helps ensure SME innovations respond to real destination needs—and can be implemented inclusively.

SECreTOUR — Sustainable, Engaging and Creative Tourism
SECreTOUR focuses on tourism as a driver of resilient livelihoods in rural and remote areas. It promotes community-led tourism experiences rooted in local heritage, while also developing practical business approaches and digital tools that support destinations and local actors.
The synergy with Cross-Re-Tour sits in our shared interest in place-based innovation: what works, for whom, and under which conditions. By comparing pilots, exchanging approaches for community engagement, and sharing toolkits, we strengthen the case for tourism models that are both economically viable and locally beneficial.
