Call for Challenges
Boost Green and Digital Innovation in Tourism SMEs
The Call for Challenges (CfC) aims to identify specific challenges faced by tourism SMEs in their green and digital transformation. It offers services, guidance, and learning opportunities to SMEs admitted to the program. It is a first stopover to the subsequent calls and financial support.
Submit your challenge and access tailored support services, training opportunities, and a network of peers to propel your business forward.
What We Are Offering:
Tourism SMEs selected under the call will receive support services including:
• Individual diagnosis of innovation state
• Business advice
• Training opportunities
• Inspiration from good practices
• Access to a network of peers and service providers, including matchmaking services
Who Can Apply:
Applicants must qualify as a Small or Medium Enterprise (SME) according to the European Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC (meaning staff < 250, turnover <= 50 M€ and/or balance sheet <= 43M€). They must be registered in one of the following partner countries:
• DE – Germany;
• ES – Spain (Catalonia);
• LV – Latvia;
• ME – Montenegro;
• MT – Malta;
• NL – The Netherlands;
• PT – Portugal;
• SI – Slovenia.
The challenges to submit should preferably align with the eight business areas established by the project (see guidelines below).
When to Apply:
The Call for Challenges opens on May 15th 2024, with two submission cut-offs on June 19th 2024 and July 24th 2024.
Applicants are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
How to Apply:
Submit a challenge related to one of the business areas established by Cross-Re-Tour:

• Equipment and Furniture
• Client Nudging
• Staff Nudging
